Sneakin' In Science

Our classes are so much fun that kids don't even know they're learning!  We start with super exciting hands-on activities and "sneak" in the Science along the way!!

After School Programs
Who cooks for you?-  In this class we’ll dissect owl pellets to find bones of the animals the owl ate.  We’ll put the bones together to try to reconstruct the organism.  You keep what you make!  Learn about owls and hear some of their calls.
Make a Rainbow- Ever wonder how a rainbow is formed?  You’ll learn in this exciting class!  We’ll mix together lots of colors and even make colors appear out of nowhere.  It’s not magic its Science!  Make a cool lava lamp toy to take home!
Thar It Blows-  Do you like to blow stuff up?  Ok ya... who doesn’t?  In this class
we’ll safely learn about chemical reactions and make a high flying rocket that kids can take home and use again and again!
Air Air Everywhere-  Did you know you have over 100lbs of air pushing down on you right now!  We’ll learn about the properties of air and learn some fun tricks kids can show their friends using air pressure.  Kids will make an air powered marshmallow launcher to take home.

Summer Program
Bubbles-We’ll make GIANT bubbles and even put kids inside a  bubble!  Students will take home bubble stuff and anything they make.
Adaptation-Learn how animals adapt to different environments.  Look for organisms in pond water, soil and rotting logs.  Students keep what they find...very exciting!
Heat-How does a thermometer work?  Find out by making your own.  You get to take it home.  Will you win the ice cube survival challenge?
Space Tour-We’ll do experiments and activities to learn all about the planets and other objects in the sky.  Blast off to space and take your rocket home with you.  Make your own alien and take it home to show family and friends!
